You had your first big leading role in “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D.” What was that like?
ROWAN BLANCHARD:
I never expected to get such a big role. I auditioned for this not knowing what I was really getting into. When I found out I got the role I was so thrilled! Rebecca is such a fun character! She is witty and smart. Playing her was a dream come true.

[Director] Robert [Rodriguez] definitely gave me some great advice. He taught me not to just read the lines but to make the character your own. I also learned that it takes more than just the actors to make a movie. What I mean by that is the craft service people, the make-up/hair team, special effects, extras and standins-…it’s important to respect those people as well because without them there is no movie

I just shot a pilot for FOX called “Little in Common.” It’s about 3 families tied together by their kids sports teams. It’s very funny! I will also be shooting a movie called “So B. It” based on the book by Sarah Weeks which is more dramatic

In “Little in Common” my characater is named Raquel Vargas and she is an over-the-top fashionista who still plays sports-but with an extra flair! In “So B. It” I will be playing Heidi It who is a girl trying to deal with her mentally incapable mother which is a more serious role for me.

Yes, I love to sing! My favorite singers are Adele, Mumford and Sons, and I am a BIG Broadway fanatic!

I love to read, dance, sing, spend time with my friends, and play outside.

ROWAN BLANCHARD:
Yes, the Sam Vance Foundation! A very close family friends teenage son died from a drug overdose and from that, this foundation was started to help teenagers and young adult overcome drug addiction. A lot of people assume that if you are an young actress in Hollywood you will do drugs and I would like to help bring awareness that this doesn’t have to be the case… I hope that makes sense!
